The waterproof Ascent Gaiter might not have the patented mesh panel found on the Ascent Ventigaiter but it doesn't have the extra ounces either. It features a waterproof and breathable triple-ply Conduit™ laminate made from hydrophilic and hydrophobic molecules that draw moisture away from your boots and socks. The remarkable performance aspect of Conduit™ is that it accelerates the transfer process as you continue to perspire keeping you drier and more comfortable than other waterproof and breathable laminates. At the bottom of the gaiter is a replaceable instep strap that can easily be replaced in the field without using special tools.
